February and the month of changes…

Well… it’s February. The Special Edition of JTN1 is no longer available (supreme lack of interest), and for a while now, I’ve been debating on bringing out Book Three at all, as a separate entity, or simply bringing JTN out as a complete volume with all three sections as it was meant to be from the beginning. The beginning was back in the 1990s, when I was first shopping it around to traditional publishers. And it was also a huge decision when first publishing it in 2002. At that time, print on demand print shops had page limits on the digitally reproduced books, and the “compleat” JTN definitely would have overloaded their paperback limits.

Not so nowadays. I’m strongly leaning toward consolidation. Those who purchased the separate volume would be eligible for a special price (purchased direct from me) if I went that way.

I’d also like to ask any of who who read this blog and have read Convergence or Gravity to PLEASE leave reviews…at Goodreads, Library Thing, Amazon… I’d add BN and Kobo but right now, JTN is stuck in the Amazon Prime Lending Library program until the end of March, so it’s been temporarily delisted from BN and Kobo.

They don’t have to be five star reviews (if you think the books deserved them—well, all righty then!), or even glowing reviews, they just have to be honest reviews.

Thanks!

Glad I snagged my Special Edition of JTN1 when I had the chance–I thought it was awesome!

I have been eagerly awaiting the publication of Book 3 for several years!!! Already own Convergence in pb and Gravity in digital (but have been hoping it would eventually come out in pb). If you are leaning to digital-only publication for #3, it doesn’t matter too much if it’s released as a consolidated volume or separately. But I will make a plea for a separate volume in pb (even POD) for both Gravity and #3. 1000+ page books, even pb, are heavy, awkward to hold and carry, and easily torn up even with careful handling. I am much less likely to even pick up an extremely thick book, much less pay for it. But I truly enjoyed the story and definitely want the complete set on my shelves.

I will post my review of Convergence at Goodreads (if I haven’t already–it’s been several years and I can’t recall) and will get that done this week. Also will check to see if I’ve reviewed Gravity anywhere online. I thought I had, but am not sure and it’s definitely time for a reread!

Hi, Mary… I am sorry I didn’t respond sooner. For some reason I’m no longer getting notices when people post! I’ll definitely take your words into consideration. Now that I am older and wiser, I realize I should not have published the story at all until all three parts were done—although at the original time of publication, I did think they were. LOL. Thank you so much for your review!
